Love your mk1? Love the sound of a VR6? Well the obvious answer is to combine the two, here is your chance.  This kit will work with 12v, 24v, 2.8, 3.2, 3.6 assuming a 5speed 02a/02j is being used.

  • Laser cut steel plates allow you to use the mk1 factory motor mount horns, making this a reversible swap.
  • The Base kit includes 3 mounts, – Motor, trans top and trans bottom, you will not use a front snub mount unless you are planning on having more than 300HP (or you just want it)
  • The 300Plus kit includes a front core support brace and front snub mount to the motor.
  • Poly bushings are included with both versions of the kit.

 

We offer a cable clutch version of our trans mount that has an integrated cable boss, or a smooth version for a hydro kit (preferred if you are installing anything more than a stock clutch)

Our axles are manufactured with stock sized cv joints, 100mm outers and 90mm inners so that you wont need to grind your spindles, the shafts are custom made for us by a factory replacement parts company, they are machined from 4041 steel with CV boot reliefs, CV joint stops, heat treated ends, and spin balanced at 3000 RPM.

We offer powder coated mounts always in black unless you special request a color, we also can have your axle shafts coated to match or accent.

MK1 02A 02j SHIFT LINKAGE

These give you a great alternative to trying to fit the cumbersome cable box into your mk1. No cutting or welding required, you keep the stock linkage in the tunnel. No console modification, no drilling holes in your firewall or dealing with pinched cables from the very sharp firewall bend on the mk1 cars. Shortens the throw over the cable setup.

 

Mk1 Mk2 & MK3 AAA VR6 Hidden MAF Intake Pipe and Filter

Trying to finish up your swap, dont like the mk3 air box in your mk1 or mk2? Check out these intake kits for the AAA VR6 motor.  We offer them in raw aluminum or wrinkle black powdercoat, they have a welded maf housing hidden under the pipe, we include an oilless filter for better maf readings and longer life from your sensor.

  • These will fit the mk3 as well
  • Generally we recommend plumbing a catch can or venting your valve cover to atmosphere vs plumbing it back into the intake, we can weld a port on for you, it will be special order.
  • At this time we are not making kits for OBD1 style intakes with an ISV.

Vr6 AC Power Steering Delete Belt

This is the belt we use to delete the AC and powersteering from a mk3 AAA , mk4 AFP, or mk4 and mk5 (also includes the audi TT,a3 and eos motors) 2.8, 3.2 24v VR6 motors.  Quality 6 rib belt ( not a 7 rib, it works great trust us)

Mk1 Mk2 02A 02J Cable Clutch Conversion Kit


 

This kit uses an OE style Eurovan cable clutch actuator, the cable is designed specific for our needs, using an OEM mk1/2 clutch cable connection, metal adjuster sleeve and adjustment nut,  its longer length allows you to tuck the cable under the transmission and swing around the starter.

* You need to make sure your pedal cluster is in good shape, this cable system is going to pull harder than your old 020 cable did. Proper lubrication of the cable prior to install is KEY!!

Kit includes the needed tab for mk1 and mk2  installation, it simply bolts onto your transmission.

 

Mk1 Hydraulic Clutch Kit

Our kit comes with the backing plate, wilwood .70 master cylinder, and an OE 02A slave cylinder (will fit 02j transmissions as well, 02a uses a threaded fitting where as the 02j uses an oring fitting)    02m users will receive a threaded bleeder adapter which will allow you to use the OEM slave/release bearing.  (02m users please include a note on your order that this is for an 02m)

Mk1 Low Profile Radiator / Cooling Package

Mk1 Vr6? MK1 07k? 16v Carbs need fresh air?  What Radiator? Here is your solution, a 1.75″ core, dual pass, 11″ tall, 24″ long radiator, it has mounting plates for you to bolt it down to the core support. This is the radiator I use for my vr6 swaps, 07k swaps, carbed motors, anything that needs the radiator to fit under the core support for the most room possible in the bay itself..

In the interest of providing quality cooling systems for customers without them needing to come back and buy a shroud and fan control after the rad has left my shop, I am providing these as a cooling package.  This includes

  • 50mm core radiator – (we also offer a 32mm core if you need an extra 3/4″ of room – request them in the notes)
  • Coolant ports 1.25″ on the Drivers side (USA)
  • VW thermoswitch in the base of the radiator
  • Fan Relay mounted and wired to fans – just connect fused power and ground
  • 2 cooling fans mounted on an aluminum shroud, bolted to the radiator, allows for disassembly for tight installs or paint/service.
  • Powdercoating is still an option, just purchase the LARGE size for the entire assembly,

MK1 VR6 Coolant Hoses - Factory Reservoir and Heat

Silicone hoses made specifically for a mk1 vr6 swap (using a 12v AAA thermostat housing) to fit any 2.8-3.2 VR6 swap into your mk1 without having to chop up factory hoses, or aftermarket silicone kits.

MK1 AAA flanged based coolant hoses

Black silicone hoses, made to fit our tucked left hand mk1 radiator, and 12v AAA coolant flanges, you can use a 12v coolant flange and a 24v crack pipe on any 2.8-3.2 24v.. this gives you an extra location for coolant temp sensors, or auxiliary water pump switches..

 

Upper and lower hoses only, heater core is still a DIY hose kit based on your specific needs.

VR6 Steel Shortened Oil Pans

Heavy Duty Steel Oil pan, the drain is relocated to the passenger side wheel (LHD vehicles) to allow MK3 users the ability to run an anti-roll bar without interference with oil pan drain. - Now in standard and baffled designs!

  • Universal VR6 design allowing fitment on both 12V VR6 motors as well as 24V (2.8 & 3.2) VR6 motors.
  • 3/16" Plated steel construction to ensure rigidity and structural integrity and added strength
  • Requires the oil pump from an MK5 R32.  Available HERE  "MK5 R32 oil pump is required to install this pan".
  • Baffled version has trap doors and anti splash baffles to keep oil near the sump under heavy cornering
  • Includes new bolts and gasket

This is the pump you need for your mk3/4 VR6 if you plan to install a shortened pan.  You can use your original oil pickup tube, we recommend cleaning it out first of course.. Genuine VW/Audi part.

Vr6 Engine Stand Mount

Need to build or service your VR6 before you install it? I was tired of doing it on the floor since you couldn't easily access the chains with the typical engine stand 4 legged contraption..

 

These were tested on a pittsburg 1/2ton stand from harbor freight or northerntool, but if your stand has a 2.0" Inner Diameter head, you should be able to use this adapter.  It has 4 holes (every 90 degrees) for locking the motor in a position that suites you best.

 

This does not include the stand or the motor (sad but I have to say it)

A simple solution is usually best, the mk1 DBW pedal adapter is just that.  Its simple to install, no cutting or drilling into your floors or firewall, includes all attachment hardware for the bracket to the body and pedal to bracket.

100mm 02a 02j Axle Cups / Driveshaft Flanges

Swapping a 1.8t or vr6 02j transmission into your mk1, mk2, or mk3? You will want to ditch the 108mm flanges found on the 1.8t and vr6 transmissions in favor of these 100mm versions.  This will allow you to use the 85up stock 100mm axles for your swap.  These driveshaft flanges are used, they are inspected to make sure the splines are good.

Digital to Analog Tach Adapter Module with Cylinder Converter Combo

This is a “magic” box !! Its a dual purpose unit and has 2 modules in it, digital>analog + cylinder conversion. It’s used for many applications, putting a VR6/1.8t/TDI/2.0 into a mk1/2 and retaining your factory cluster.  (However if you wanted to drop an ls1 into your mk1 and drive the stock tach, this will do it for you)

This module will allow your factory cluster to read the correct rpm of the engine. It will save time on not having to do a dash swap or retrofitting the 6 cylinder cluster and allow you to maintain that stock sleeper look inside your mk1 or mk2.

Wiring is simple, connect the labeled wires to

  • Ground – Any clean grounding source
  • Power – 12v Switched Power, 5a fuse
  • Tach Input – This will be from your ECU or Coil
  • Tach Output – Connect this to your old coil wire, or directly to the back of your tach.
    • On CE2 cars use g1-12 cut the wire behind the fusebox, use the firewall side as your tach INPUT, and the fusebox side of the wire as the OUTPUT
    • On CE1 and mk1 cars find your tach wire off the back of the cluster - Consult your manual-
